Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of social media-based learning media used in teaching and education. The on-ground facts regarding the use of social media in Indonesia show significant progress. In the field of education, technology is widely utilized as a means of learning and one of them is in Islamic Religious Education. This research is initiated based on the analysis of 'Jum'at Call Gus Mus' using Dale's Theory. 'Jum'at Call' is an activity performed by Gus Mus aiming to propagate through social media. The use of Instagram as a social medium is utilized to facilitate 'Jum'at Call Gus Mus, which is then uploaded and widely circulated. Gus Mus utilizes images combined with concise text to ensure the general public comprehends and is impressed by the content of Jum'at Call Gus Mus.
